Ellenbrook will ultimately consist of seven unique villages, surrounding a vibrant town centre. Each village will offer a different architectural style and provide a variety of homesite options.
The first community was Woodlake Village. Then came the Mediterranean flavour of The Bridges. These were joined by Coolamon and Morgan Fields. The fifth village, Charlotte's Vineyard and the latest Malvern Springs.
Each village is a self supporting community, with a strong sense of security and belonging. Together, the villages circle a town centre which provides the cultural, commercial and recreational hub for the town.
By the year 2012, all seven villages will support a thriving community of some 30,000 people.
Woodlake Village This is Ellenbrook’s first village. Surrounding a picturesque lake, Woodlake Village was designed to capture that community spirit once only found in rural areas. The architectural emphasis is reminiscent of Australia's heritage. The village plan ensures that all residents live just a short walk from the village centre. The first home was completed in 1995. Today, Woodlake Village is living proof of the Ellenbrook vision for a safe, secure and caring community.
The Bridges Ellenbrook's second village, The Bridges, has as its central focus a magnificent 10 metre tower overlooking the village and lake called the Campanile. It sets the Mediterranean theme which has made this peaceful village on the banks of Lake Fresca so popular. Home builders in The Bridges were given design guidelines to ensure all dwellings had a Mediterranean appearance, yet allowed latitude for individuality and distinctive homes within the theme. The meticulous planning earned The Bridges the accolade of Best Residential Subdivision (250 lots or more) in Australia for 1999 by the Urban Redevelopment Institute of Australia.
Coolamon Ellenbrook's third village embraces the best of contemporary Australia as its theme. In response to our climate, the architecture is inspired by the classic Australian homestead, with its steeply pitched roofs, sun-smart eaves and verandahs. Coolamon also incorporates the latest thinking in energy-efficiency. Indeed, the layout of the streets makes 'solar passive' home design easier, saving money on heating and cooling costs. The colours used at Coolamon complement the distinctive style, looking to Australia's natural landscape and architectural heritage for inspiration.
Morgan Fields (Henley Brook) Ellenbrook’s fourth village has a distinctive country feel, from the street treatments and landscaping, to the wide open spaces. Morgan Fields offers plenty of room for growing families, with large, country-sized homesites. It is another Ellenbrook success story, having won the National and State UDIA Award for Best Residential Development 2003 (250 lots or more).
Charlotte's Vineyard Ellenbrook’s fifth village is a contemporary interpretation of the look and feel of the Swan Valley and Guildford. Charlotte’s Vineyard combines nature and nurture, with formal planting, public art and streetscapes right amongst natural bushland. The central focus of the village is a 7 hectare centrepiece of picturesque parkland and conservation area. Charlotte’s Vineyard offers a choice of homesites to suit your lifestyle, ranging from the compact cottage to larger country homesites. Most include side and rear fencing and front landscaping to complement the Swan Valley theme.
Malvern Springs Introducing Malvern Springs, a very special place in Ellenbrook. When we started planning Ellenbrook’s latest village, we got to thinking about the fast pace of modern life. As our world gets faster, people long for a calmer home environment, cleaner air and a healthier lifestyle. With this in mind, we’ve designed..
A place where you could know all your neighbours
A place to walk or stroll or run or cycle
A place to enjoy the protected natural beauty
A place where wildlife can flourish
A place where the environment is preserved
A place to live smarter
A place to recharge your batteries.
Malvern Springs will be, quite simply, a better place to live. Our new village is named Malvern, derived from "Maelfern", the Celtic name of a spa town on the Welsh/English border renowned for its great natural beauty, national park hills, and natural mineral springs.
